Wegovy month 3 - Nausea

​It’s about month 3 of taking Wegovy and I have decided to stick with the 4mg dose since it’s working and is only $149/mo. For the last two weeks I have had occasional nausea. I’m not sure if it’s what I’m eating or what. Maybe too much coffee which is know to cause nausea. I got it after eating fish and chips last week too. The constipation seems to be under control. Trying to eat more fruit and fiber. For someone with UC, only needing to visit the bathroom every other day is a nice change. It will be interesting to see if my colonoscopy results look better this summer.

Wegovy Pill and Ulcerative Colitis

​I have been diagnosed with Liver MASH over the last few years and it’s linked to both being on Remicade for around 20 years and being overweight. When the Wegovy pill came out, I decided to give it a try. Wegovy injections can be covered by my insurance for Liver MASH, but I would rather do the pill, so I went that route. There are 4 doses, but my doctor said to stay at 4mg as long as you’re losing weight since it’s only $149/mo and would have less side effect risks. It’s been 2 month now and here is the breakdown of weight loss, side effects, and how it affects my UC. Total lost so far: 24lbs Diet: Less sugar, more vegetables, eating healthier. Trying to not lose too fast as that will take away muscle mass. I  feel full faster and it lasts longer. My cravings for sugar are still present, so it helps to not have junk food in the pantry.   Side effects: Nothing major. Effects on UC: Constipation can be a good thing if your UC had you in the bathroom 4-5 times a day. Now I only...
